Known to be drought-tolerant, they tend to grow well in full sun, though they prefer partial afternoon shade in hot, dry climates to prevent the leaves from burning. It produces compact, mounded plants (10–16 inches tall) with 2–3 inch wide edible flowers which colors feature a rich blend of fiery shades, including scarlet, mahogany, red, cherry rose, orange, peach, and bright yellow. And is highly attractive to pollinators.
